Sony Xperia X and XA goes official in India from Rs. 20990 onwards

Sony launched Xperia X and the Xperia XA in the Indian markets for Rs. 48,990 and Rs. 20,990. The Xperia X is powered by snapdragon 650 hexa core processor whereas the Xperia XA is powered by MediaTek Helio P10 octa core processor.

Sony Xperia X features and specifications

This handset comes with dual SIM slot and sports a 5 inch Triluminous Display with Full HD resolution. Inside the hood the X is powered by Snapdragon 650 64 bit hexa core processor clocked at 1.8GHz coupled with Adreno 510 GPU.
Android 6.0 runs the show with 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM and 200GB micro SD support. On the back there is a 23MP hybrid AF camera using SONY EXMOR RS sensor with f/2.0 aperture and on the front there is a 13MP wide angle camera.
Handset is 7.9mm thick and weight with battery is 153 grams. Other features are 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, GPS, WiFi, BT, finger print sensor and NFC. Sony Xperia X gets power from a 2630 mAh battery that supports Adaptive charging technology. This handset is priced at Rs. 48,990.

Sony Xperia XA features and specifications

This dual SIM handset is packed with 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM + 200GB micro SD support. XA houses the MediaTek 64 bit Helio P10 MT6755 8x (octa) core processor clocked at 2GHz with Mali T860 GPU.
Android Marshmallow runs out of the box over a 5 inch screen with curved glass (edge to edge display) supporting HD – 1280 x 720p resolution.  XA is loaded with 13MP SONY IMX258 AF camera on the rear with LED flash and on the front there is an 8MP camera with wide angle lens.
Other features are 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, NFC, GPS, BT 4.1 and WiFi. Sony Xperia XA gets power from a 2300 mAh battery with adaptive charging technology and is priced at Rs. 20,990.
Sony Xperia X Dual is listed on Amazon for Rs. 46,990 with free Sony SBH70 Stereo Bluetooth headset worth Rs. 6,990.

Asus Zenfone 3, Ultra and Deluxe launched starting from $249

Asus today at Computex 2016 launched couple of Asus devices including Asus Zenfone 3, Zenfone 3 Ultra and Zenfone 3 Deluxe. The Asus Zenfone 3 price starts from $249 (Approx Rs. 17K), Zenfone 3 Ultra from $479 (approx Rs. 32K) and Zenfone 3 Deluxe from $499 (approx Rs. 34K).

Asus Zenfone 3 features and specifications

This is a dual SIM handset using Hybrid slot. It houses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 64 bit octa core processor clocked at 2.0 GHz coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. Zenfone 3 sports a 5.5 inch screen with gorilla glass 3 protection and supporting 1920 x 1080p resolution.
This handset sails on ZEN UI 3.0  over Android Marshmallow 6.0 with 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM and micro SD card support – another variant is also available with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM. There is a 16MP primary SONY IMX298 camera with 4 axis OIS, laser AF, 3 axis EIS and dual tone LED flash. Front camera is 8MP resolution.
Key features are 4G (VoLTE), 3G, 2G, GPS, WiFi, USB Type C and Finger Print sensor. Zenfone 3 gets power from a 3000 mAh battery it is priced starting from $249 (3GB/32GB).

Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra features and specifications

This dual SIM handset is powered by Snapdragon 652 64 bit octa core clocked at 1.8GHz with Adreno 510 GPU. Zenfone 3 Ultra sports a 6.8 inch screen with 1920 x 1080p resolution. It is running Zen UI over Marshmallow with 4GB RAM, 64ROM and 128GB micro SD support.
On the back there is a 23MP SONY IMX318 camera with 3 axis EIS, laser AF, 4 axis OIS and LED flash (dual tone). On the front there is an 8MP camera.
Other features are 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, GPS, BT 4.1, USB Type C port, dual stereo speakers, smart amplifier and finger print sensor. This handset gets power from a 4600 mAh battery (QC 3.0 supported).
Asus Zenfone 3 ultra is priced at $479.

Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe features and specifications

This handset sports a 5.7 inch screen with 1920 x 1080p resolution. It's using Super AMOLED display running Marshmallow with 6GB RAM and optional 64/128/256 GB storage. This smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 820 quad core processor with Adreno 530 GPU.
There is a 23MP primary camera using SONY IMX318 sensor, 4 axis OIS, 3 axis EIS, laser AF and dual tone LED flash. Front camera is of 8MP resolution.
Key features are 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, GPS, USB Type C port, BT 4.1, NXP smart amplifier, five magnet speaker and finger print sensor. Zenfone 3 Deluxe houses a quick charge 3.0 supported 3000 mAh battery.
Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe is priced from $ 499 (6GB/64GB).

Samsung Galaxy C5, Galaxy C7 with metal body and 4GB RAM launched

Introducing its new C-series, Samsung has launched two new smartphones called the Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 in China. Both smartphones feature full metal bodies with 2.5D curved glass design. For now the new smartphones have only been launched in China, and there's no word on when they will arrive in other markets, including India.
Price: Samsung has priced the Galaxy C5 around $330 (Rs 22,100 approximately), while the Galaxy C7 is priced around $396 (Rs 26,000 approximately). Both devices will be available in four color options — gold, pink-gold, silver, and grey.
The Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 are similar in many ways. Both run on Android Marshmallow 6.0, and have a fingerprint scanner integrated in the physical home button. The smartphones share the same cameras, storage capacity and RAM as well. The major differentiators are the size of the display and the processor under the hood.
Samsung Galaxy C5 specifications, features: The Galaxy C5 is the smaller of the two devices and flaunts a 5.2-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display. It is powered by a Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor paired with Adreno 405 GPU and 4GB of RAM. It comes in 32GB and 64GB internal storage variants, and there is also an option to expand the storage up to 128GB using a microSD card.
On the camera front, the smartphone sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It also features a 2,600mAh battery with Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 support, and connectivity options like dual-SIM slots (hyrbid setup), 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v 4.2, GPS and NFC.
Samsung Galaxy C7 specifications, features: The Galaxy C7 is a slightly bigger device with 5.7-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, and is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 625 octa-core chipset paired with 4GB of RAM.
It too features a 16-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front camera, and two storage options. It also comes with a bigger 3,000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support.
Another thing worth mentioning is that both new smartphones support Samsung Pay out-of-the-box. This service was recently introduced in China.

Lava A59 and A48 3G smartphones listed

On the Lava Mobiles official website you will find the Lava A48 and the Lava A59 handsets listed. The A59 is priced at Rs. 4,199 and the A48 price has not yet been revealed. Both these handsets are 3G enabled.

Lava A59 features and specifications

This dual SIM handset is powered by Quad core processor (chipset unknown) clocked at 1.2GHz. It is running Android Lollipop 5.1 out of the box over a 4.5 inch screen with FWVGA resolution. Lava A59 weight with battery is 140 grams and dimensions are 66 x 134 x 9.3 (mm). 

This smartphone is packed with 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage. Micro SD card of up to 32GB is supported. The primary camera is of 5MP resolution with LED flash support and front facing camera is of VGA resolution. Other features are 3G, 2G, WiFi and BT 2.1. There is no built in GPS receiver. The 1750 mAh removable battery gives up to 32 hours of audio playback using earphone. Lava A59 MRP price is Rs. 4,199.

Lava A48 features and specifications

The A48 is using a 1.3GHz quad core processor (chipset unknown). This handset is also running Lollipop 5.1 with 512MB RAM, 4GB ROM and 32GB micro SD support. Handset weight is 116 grams and thickness is 9.9mm.Touch screen is of size 4 inches supporting WVGA resolution. 

There is a 2MP camera on the rear and a VGA camera on the front. Other features are 3G, 2G, BT and WiFi. Built in GPS is missing. Lava A48 gets power from a 1300 mAh removable battery. It will be cheaper than the A59, the official price however has not yet been disclosed.

Asus ZenBook 3 Intel i7 powered launched from $999

Asus launched the ZenBook 3. This next generation notebook is made from aerospace grade aluminum, it's ultra slim and light weight at just about 910 grams. Asus ZenBook 3 price starts from $999 (approx Rs. 67K).

Asus ZenBook 3 features and specifications

This notebook houses the Intel Core i7 processor and sports a 12.5 inch screen with gorilla glass 4 protection. The aerospace grade aluminum alloy that is used not only gives a premium feel to this notebook but is also 50% stronger when compared with the alloy used on other notebooks.
The back-lit keyboard keys are of the same size that is used on desktop keyboards – for a more comfortable experience. Touchpad also supports palm rejection, handwriting and smart gestures. ZenBook 3 comes with built in Finger Print Sensor for enhanced security.
There is 16GB RAM (2133MHz)  and up to 1TB SSD (PCle Gen 3 x 4). Other features are USB Type C port, Harman Kardon quad speakers, WiFi, Bluetooth to name a few.
ZenBook 3 can be charged to 60% in just about 49 minutes and on a full charge you can expect up to 9 hours of battery life.
Asus ZenBook 3 will be available in Quartz grey, Rose Gold and Royal Blue colour options from $999.
