Coolpad Note 3 Plus launched for Rs. 8999

Coolpad today launched the awaited Coolpad Note 3 Plus in the Indian markets. This octa core powered handset is priced at Rs. 8,999. Key highlight is 3GB RAM, finger print sensor and a 5.5 inch IPS screen – hey even the Coolpad Note 3 had it!

This is a dual SIM handset that looks like the Coolpad Note 3. This new handset houses the MediaTek MT6753 octa core processor clocked at a 1.3GHz with Mali T720 GPU. Note 3 Plus is running Lollipop 5.1 with CoolUI 6.0.
The touch screen comes with scratch resistant glass; screen size is 5.5 inches supporting 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution – Full HD. Handset weight is 168 grams and thickness is 9.3mm. Like its predecessor the Note 3 Plus also comes with 13MP primary auto focus camera with flash and front camera is of 5MP resolution (fixed focus).
Other features are 4G, 3G, 2G, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi and GPS. This handset gets power from a 3000 mAh battery.

Difference is – the screen resolution. The older Note 3 came with 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) and the new Note 3 Plus comes with 1920 x 1080 pixels (FHD) resolution.

LYF Water 5 from Reliance with 4G support launched for Rs. 11699

Reliance has launched another handset called the Reliance LYF Water 5 with a price tag of Rs. 11,699. This handset comes with a 5 inch screen, powered by SD 410 and supports 4G with VoLTE.

LYF Water 5 is a dual SIM handset powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 – MSM8916 quad core chipset clocked at 1.2GHz and using Adreno 306 GPU. This handset is running Lollipop 5.1 out of the box with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. There is micro SD card support too.
Water 5 sports a 5 inch IPS screen that comes with ASAHI Dragon-trail glass protection and supports 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. Handset is light weight at 136 grams (thickness – 7.7mm) with non-removable battery of 2920 mAh capacity.
A 13MP camera is packed on the rear with LED flash support and on the front there is a 5MP fixed focus camera. Key features are 4G  (VoLTE), 3G, 2G, GPS, WiFi and BT 4.0.

LeEco LeMe Bluetooth & in ear earphones, headphones available from Rs. 899

Three devices from LeEco the LeMe Bluetooth headphone, reverse in-ear headphones and all metal earphones got listed and are available from the LeMall India site. BT headphones are priced at Rs. 2,499 the metal earphones are for Rs. 1,499 and the reverse in-ear headphones for Rs. 899. The company will also launch LeEco Bluetooth speakers soon.

The LeEco LeMe Bluetooth headphones looks great, it supports Bluetooth 4.1. It is available in White, Pink, Red and Orange colour options. Weight is 240 grams with 195mAh battery that as per the company gives up to 10 hours of entertainment time. The battery can be fully charged in under 2 hours.
LeMe Bluetooth headphones comes with built in microphone, 40mm moving coil drivers, deep bass and 20Hz to 20,000Hz frequency response (32 ohm impedance). This headphone is priced at Rs. 2,499.
LeEco Reverse in-ear headphones come with 13mm neodymium magnetic moving coil driver for impressive beats (32Ω speaker) and cord length is 120 cm. There is built in mic and button for control. Key highlight is the over the ear rubber wire for a very comfortable fit.
LeEco Reverse in-ear headphones are priced at Rs. 899.
The LeEco All Metal Earphone comes with metallic resonance cavity and acoustic (dual) ports. This one also comes with key control and there is a mic built in. This earphone is using 3.5mm gold plated plug. Users also get Leather case (limited edition) and 3 sizes silica gel earbuds.

A new handset from Intex Mobiles called the Intex Aqua Joy got listed on their official website. The Aqua Joy is a quad core powered handset running Android 5.1 with 3G support. This budget friendly handset is priced at just Rs. 2,799.

The Intex Aqua Joy smartphone houses the Spreadtrum SC7731C 32 bit quad core processor clocked at 1.2GHz (Cortex A7). This dual SIM handset support 3G / 2G and is running Android 5.1 out of the box with 512MB RAM and 4Gigs of internal storage. Users will get around 1.5GB free internal storage space and they can also use micro SD card of up to 32GB. Screen is 4 inches supporting 800 x 480 pixels resolution.
This handset also includes a VGA camera on the front as well as on the rear. The camera will not be of any use -VGA cameras are no good. Other features are 3G, 2G, GPS (AGPS), Bluetooth 2.1 and WiFi. Micromax today in collaboration with Intel and Microsoft launched the Micromax Canvas Lapbook L1160 a windows 10 powered laptop (netbook) for an attractive price of Rs. 10,499. This device is available on Amazon.in.

The Lapbook L1160 is a basic laptop powered by Intel ATOM Z3735F quad core processor clocked at 1.3GHz – can be turbo boosted to up to 1.8GHz. This device sports a 11.6 inch IPS screen supporting 1366 x 768 pixels resolution.
Windows 10 OS runs out of the box with 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage space. There is micro SD card slot and users can use external cards of up to 64GB. Micromax Canvas Lapbook L1160 weight is 1.13 Kg with built in battery.

YU gearing up to launch a new Flagship

It seems YU company is getting ready for another flagship launch this month. They have already released a teaser video titled Redefining Flagship and the video clearly mentions that something will be  unveiled this month.

The last model launched by YU was the Yutopia, that was loaded with good hardware but price wise it was a bit on the higher side. Maybe this time we could see YU correcting the same, probably a device with a good specification and a good price tag.
The video that the company released is kind of a hammer test breaking the flag on a ship, :-), well that also broke the ship, it's  about creating a new flagship… redefining flagship.  YU is confident that the next model will break hearts, records and well the flagships.

Lenovo Z1 To Launch In India On May 10, First Lenovo Phone With Cyanogen OS

Lenovo Z1 will be launched in India on May 10. The Chinese giant has announced that the company's next smartphone will see a "crowd-sourced" launch in India, becoming the first ever phone to witness such a launch.
The company announced the news on its official Facebook page. "Announcing the World's first Crowd Sourced Product Launch where YOU take center stage to launch the #LenovoZ1.", said the company.

The Lenovo Z1 is also known as the Lenovo Zuk Z1 in China. It will be called as the "Lenovo Z1 – powered by Zuk" in India. It will come Cyanogen OS 12.1, based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. This makes it the first Lenovo phone to run on Cyanogen OS. This also makes Lenovo the second brand to officially use Cyanogen OS in India, breaking Micromax YU's exclusivity.
The Lenovo Z1 comes with a quad core Snapdragon 801 processor. Although the SOC is more than a couple of years old now, it is still an extremely efficient and powerful chipset. It comes with a 5.5 inch full HD display, with a pixel density of ~401 PPI. The Z1 also has 3 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage, but there is no provision for a microSD card.
The Z1 also comes with a 13 MP camera on the back, featuring a Sony IMX214 sensor, with Optical Image Stabilization and dual LED flash. On the front, there's an 8 MP camera. Both the cameras can record 1080p videos at 30 FPS.
The Lenovo Z1 also features a huge 4100 mAh battery and dual SIM support, with Indian LTE bands supported. On the connectivity front, you get Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac.
Lenovo is touting the launch of the Z1 as the "World's first crowdsourced phone launch". The company has revealed that the phone will land in India on May 10. Further pricing and availability details are awaited.

LeEco launched a new handset that comes with the made for India tag, called the Le 1s Eco. This handset will support 10 regional Indian languages. Eco is priced at Rs. 10,899 but will be available for Rs. 9,999 (introductory offer) on Flipkart on 12th of May 2016 at 2PM.

This new LeEco Le 1s Eco is powered by MediaTek Helio X10 octa core processor clocked at 1.8GHz and is running Android Lollipop 5.0.2 with 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM. The display is 5.5 inches supporting 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and protected with corning gorilla glass 3.

The package is free for one year, other LeEco users can subscribe to LeEco membership for Rs. 490 per month or get one year subscription for Rs. 4900.

Micromax today launched a big handset the Micromax Canvas Mega 2 sporting a 6 inch screen with qHD resolution and powered by a quad core processor with 4G support. The Mega 2 gets power from a 3000 mAh battery and is priced at Rs. 7,999.

The Canvas Mega 2 houses the Spreadtrum SC9832 quad core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. This handset comes with dual SIM slots running Android Lollipop 5.1 over a big screen of 6 inches unfortunately with a low resolution of qHD i.e. 960 x 540 pixels.

Lenovo Vibe P1 getting Marshmallow update

Marshmallow update Android 6.0 has been rolled out on the Lenovo Vibe P1 smartphone. The OS update size is around 1.6GB. This is a over the air update. The update process takes time, be patient you might get a temporary screen for a longer time.
If you are using the Lenovo Vibe P1 smartphone you might have got the update notification or you can check the same manually. It's a big update better use WiFi, also do note that Marshmallow treats SD card differently and hence any data / application on the SD card will be lost – better take a backup of your data, you can always install apps later on.
Lenovo K3 Note recently got the Android marshmallow update, you might face the same issues that many users were facing specially with reference to the SD card.
This is an over the air update that should enhance user experience, improve performance and extend battery life.
