Vivo Y31L Snapdragon 410 with 4G LTE support launched for ₹9450

Y31L is the latest handset launched by Vivo in the Indian markets. This handset houses the snapdragon 410 quad core processor and is running Lollipop over a 4.7 inch qHD screen. Vivo Y31L supports 4G and carries a price tag of ₹9,450.The Vivo Y31L is a dual SIM handset running FunTouch OS 2.1 (Android 5.1) over a 4.7 inch screen (IPS) with 960 x 540 pixels (qHD) resolution. There is 1GB on board RAM and 16GB of internal storage space.
Y31L is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 Quad core processor clocked at 1.2GHz coupled with Adreno 306 GPU. This is a well known hardware already being used on many handsets with a much cheaper price tag when compared with Y31L. Also included is an 8MP primary camera with LED flash support and secondary front facing camera is of 5MP resolution.Handset weight with 2200 mAh battery is 133 grams and thickness is 8.3mm. Additional features are 4G LTE support, 3G, 2G, GPS, WiFi, FM radio and Bluetooth 4.0. OTG is supported.
Vivo Y31L is priced at ₹9,450 and will be available in White and Black colour options.

Xiaomi Mi TV 3S launched in China from RMB 1799

Xiaomi has launched the Mi TV 3S in the Chinese markets. 3S comes in two screen size options – with 43 inch screen supporting 1080p resolution and 65 inch curved screen supporting 3840 x 2160 pixels (4K) resolution.Mi TV 43 inch carries a price tag of RMB 1799 that comes to approx ₹18,400 and the Mi TV 65 inch is priced at RMB 8999 – approx ₹92,400.  These TV units will hit the Chinese stores by end of March 2016.
Xiaomi Mi TV 3S 43 inch is powered by MStar 6A908 quad core cortex A9 processor  clocked at 1.4GHz coupled with Mali 450 GPU. Screen is 43 inches (LG Make) with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution.
TV 3S 43 inch comes loaded with 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM. Other features are WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 3.0 port (1), UBS 2.0 port (1), HDMI port (3), Analog TV, two speakers, Dolby sound, Bass boost, Surround sound and Ethernet port.Xiaomi Mi TV 3S 65 inch is using Samsung's 65 inch 4K curved screen with 176 degree viewing angle supporting 3840 x 2160 pixels resolution. It is powered by MStar 6A928 1.4GHz Cortex A17 chipset with Mali T760 GPU.This variant comes with 2GB RAM and 8GB storage. Other features are WiFi, 2x dome tweeter – 2.5 inch x 4 woofer, Dolby Audio, Bass Boost, Surround sound, Ethernet, BT 4.1, Analog TV, VGA port, HDMI 2.0 (3), USB 2.0(1) and USB 3.0 (1).

Apple iPad Pro with 9.7 inch screen coming soon from ₹50K onwards

Along with Apple iPhone SE, Apple also unveiled the Apple iPad Pro with a 9.7 inch screen. This tablet is powered by A9X chipset and will be available in India this April for a price tag of ₹49,990 (32GB + WiFi) and ₹61,900 (32GB + Cellular 4G LTE + WiFi).This new version of Apple iPad Pro is powered by the same chipset that powers its predecessor the 12.9 inch iPad Pro – both these tablets are using A9X chipset (64 Bit) with M9 Coprocessor. This new tablet sports a 9.7 inch screen (Retina display) supporting 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution.
Users can choose from WiFi model with 32GB internal storage or WiFi + Cellular model with 32GB of internal storage. This tablet with also come with 128 and 256 GB storage but for now only the 32GB variant will be launched in India.
9.7 inch iPad Pro is 6.1mm thick and weight is 437 grams (WiFi) and 444 grams (Cellular + WiFi). There is 12MP iSight camera on the rear that can record 4K videos and slow motion videos of 720p resolution at 240fps. Front FaceTime HD camera is of 5MP resolution.Other features are 4 speaker audio, dual microphones,  WiFi, 4G LTE, 3G, GPS with GLONASS, Siri and Touch ID sensor. It is running iOS 9 out of the box and battery backup is up to 10 hours on WiFi model and up to 9 hours on Cellular models.
iPad Pro will be available in Gold, Rose Gold, Space Grey and Silver colour options from ₹49,990.
Other iPad Pro accessories – Smart Keyboard for ₹13,900, Silicon Cases for ₹5,200, Smart Covers for ₹3,700 and Apple pencil for ₹8,600.

Moto X Play getting Marshmallow update

Android 6.0 Marshmallow update has been rolled out on Motorola Moto X Play smartphone. Some users in India have confirmed receiving the update. The update size is around 387MB and Android version is 6.0.1. The info on your smartphone, before you download and install the update clearly mentions to attach power source (connect phone to charger) so as the battery does not drains faster / handset does not switches off when the update process is initiated.
Marshmallow update includes Unicode 8.0 Emoji support, security updates, stability improvements and camera shutter sound on/off option. Users will also get an option to choose to download the update using WiFi only or WiFi & Mobile Networks whichever is available.Marshmallow also gives you an option to use your SD card to full extend just like an internal storage. You can choose if you want to use SD card as portable storage or if it is to be adopted as internal storage. If you choose to use SD card as internal storage, the SD card will be formatted and encrypted. So in case you have important data on your SD card better take a backup.

Apple iPhone SE launched will hit Indian Markets next month from ₹39K

The Apple iPhone SE goes official; Apple announced it at an event in US. iPhone SE is a compact phone using 64 Bit chipset, running iOS 9.3 and sporting a 4 inch screen. This handset is listed on Apple India website and will be launched in India in April for ₹39,000 (16GB version). Apple iPhone SE houses the 64 bit A9 chipset with embedded M9 motion co-processor. This handset is running iOS 9.3 over a 4 inch retina display supporting 1136 x 640 pixels resolution. The home button doubles up as Touch ID based finger print scanner.
There is accelerometer, proximity, light and GYRO sensors. A 12Mp iSight camera is packed on the rear with true tone flash. This camera can record 4K videos at 30fps and slow motion videos of 1080p resolution at 120 fps and 720p resolution at 240fps. Front camera is 1.2MP (FaceTime HD), it can shoot 720p videos.Other features are 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, Siri and GPS with GLONASS. Apple iPhone SE weight with battery is 113 grams and thickness is 7.6mm. On a full charge the iPhone SE as per the company will give up to 14 hours of talk time on 3G, up to 13 hours video playback, up to 50 hours audio playback and up to 13 hours of internet use (WiFi).Apple iPhone SE (Silver, Grey, Rose Gold and Gold colour options) will be launched in India in April 2016 – the 16GB version will be priced at ₹39,000.
Update: According to weibo.com the iPhone SE comes with 2GB RAM.

Intex Aqua Ace II with 4G VoLTE support and 3GB RAM for ₹9K

Intex Mobiles has launched the Intex Aqua Ace II a quad core 4G enabled smartphone, it will be available soon. The Ace II comes with a good 3GB RAM and is running Lollipop out of the box. This dual SIM handset is already listed on the Intex Website and is priced at ₹8,999.As per the Intex Aqua Ace II specifications mentioned on their website, this handset houses the MediaTek MT6735 64 Bit quad core processor clocked at 1.3GHz with Mali T720 GPU. Android 5.1 runs the show with 3GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Users can also use micro SD card of up to 32GB.
It's a dual SIM handset sporting a 5 inch screen with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. An 8MP AF camera is packed on the back with flash support and there is a 5MP FF camera on the front. Handset weight is 149 grams with battery and thickness is 8.65mm.Additional features are 4G LTE (VoLTE), 3G, 2G, MHL support, GPS with A-GPS support, WiFi and Bluetooth version 4.0. Ace II gets power from a 3000 mAh battery.
Intex Aqua Ace II will be available soon for ₹8,999.
