Ringing Bells Smart 101 4G smartphone for Rs.2,999

Ringing Bells Pvt Ltd. is a new company established in 2015 that has now launched the Smart 101 smartphone with a 5 inch screen running Lollipop loaded with 1GB RAM and with 4G LTE support. This handset is priced at Rs.2,999. Ringing Bells Smart 101 is powered by a quad core processor (chipset unknown) clocked at 1.3GHz. This dual SIM handset sports a 5 inch IPS screen supporting 960x 480 pixels resolution, on their site they have mentioned it as qHD but it is not 960 x 540 pixels, instead mentioned as 960 x 480.
Smart 101 is 8mm thick and weight with battery is 125 grams. Android Lollipop 5.1 runs the show with 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM (internal storage space) and 32GB external micro SD card support. The handset is also packed with a 3.2MP secondary camera and an 8MP primary camera with LED flash support. Rear camera can shoot FHD videos.There are 3 sensors accelerometer, light and proximity. Key features are 4G LTE (2100, 1800, 2600, 800), 3G, 2G, WiFi, GPS, FM radio and Bluetooth 4. A2800 mAh battery powers up this handset with estimated talk time of up to 10 hours on 3G networks and 8 hours on 4G networks.

Intex Aqua Craze and Lite launched for under Rs.6200

Intex Mobiles launched two new handsets in the Aqua series, the Intex Aqua Craze and the Aqua Lite. Aqua Craze is quad core powered with 4G support priced at Rs.6,190 and the Aqua Lite is also quad core powered but with 3G support for Rs.3,290.

Intex Aqua Craze

This is a dual SIM handset that sports a 5 inch IPS screen with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. It houses the MediaTek MT6735 64 bit quad core processor clocked at 1GHz coupled with Mali T720 GPU. Android 5.1 runs out of the box with 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM and 32GB micro SD card support.
The Craze comes with an 8MP primary camera with LED flash and 2MP camera on the front. It is 8.95mm thick and supports 4G, 3G, 2G, Bluetooth 4, GPS and WiFi. Intex Aqua Craze houses a 2500 mAh battery and priced at Rs.6,190.

Intex Aqua Lite

Aqua Lite is running Android 5.1 Lollipop, powered by 1.3GHz 32bit quad core processor clocked at 1.3GHz (6580M Chipset with Mali 400 GPU). This dual SIM handset comes with 512MB RAM and 4GB ROM + micro SD card support of 32GB.Front camera as well as the rear camera is of 2MP resolution, there is a single flash for the rear camera. Aqua Lite sports a 4 inch screen with WVGA (800 x 400 pixels) resolution. Key features are 3G, 2G, GPS, Bluetooth and WiFi. Intex Aqua Lite gets power from a 1400 mAh battery and is priced at Rs.3,290.

Qualcomm unveils Snapdragon Wear 2100 SoC and Platform

Qualcomm has unveiled a new SoC (system on chip) called the Snapdragon Wear 2100 and Wear Platform especially for wearable devices. Smartwatches are the new trend and are slowly catching up. But the major issues with most Smartwatches is the battery performance, hopefully this 2100 will take care of that.This new SoC – Snapdragon Wear 2100 consumes less power and supports 'always on', this chipset is smaller in size and more power efficient just about perfect to power Smartwatches and similar kind of wearable devices.  The Wear 2100 will support LTE and comes with low power built-in (WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS).
Wear 2100 is a 32 bit quad core cortex A7 chipset that can be clocked from 800MHz up to 1.2GHz. It makes use of Adreno 304 GPU and supports screen resolution of up to 640 x 480 pixels. This chipset supports quick charger 2.0, LPDDR3 memory and eMMC 4.5 storage.Smartwatches using the Snapdragon Wear 2100 SoC will not only be slimmer but will give better overall performance, better processing speed, low power consumption and faster charging time. This SoC can also be used on other devices like sport watches, trackers and more.
It seems LG will be the first brand that will launch a Smartwatch using this new chipset in 2016.

Lava X11, A71 and A88 smartphones launched priced Rs.5499 onwards

Lava Mobiles have now launched three new smartphones called the Lava X11, Lava A71 and the Lava A88. All of these three smartphones comes with 4G LTE support and priced at X11 – Rs.7,999, A71 – Rs.6,499 and A88 – Rs.5,499.

Lava X11

This handset houses a quad core processor clocked at 1.5GHz (chipset unknown). X11 sports a 5 inch screen with HD resolution (720p) and the screen does come with CGG protection. Android 5.1.1 runs the show with 2GB RAM, 8GB ROM and external micro SD card support. This handset will get Marshmallow update.
Lava X11 is a dual SIM handset packed with an 8MP primary camera with flash and 5MP secondary camera with front flash. Key features are 4G, 3G, 2G, GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth. A 2500 mAh battery powers up this handset. Lava X11 is priced at Rs.7,999.

Lava A71

This handset is using Spreadtrum 9830 32 bit 1.5GHz quad core processor running Lollipop (upgradable to Marshmallow) over a 5 inch screen with HD resolution (screen comes with gorilla glass protection).
A71 is dual SIM handset packed with 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM and micro SD card support. A 5MP camera is placed on the rear with flash and a 2MP fixed focus on the front with front LED flash. Key features are 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0. A71 gets power from a 2500 mAh battery. It is priced at Rs.6,499.

Lava A88

This is also 1.5GHz quad core powered (chipset unknown). This dual SIM handset is running Lollipop (will not get Marshmallow update). A88 comes with 512MB RAM, 4GB ROM and micro SD support. Screen is of size 5 inches supporting FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) resolution.
There is a 5MP camera on the rear and a 2MP camera on the front. Both the front as well as the rear camera comes with LED flash support. Important features are 4G, 3G, 2G, GPS, Bluetooth and WiFi. A88 gets power from a 2000 mAh battery. Lava A88 is priced at Rs.5,499.

This health band is compatible with Android 4.3 and above and also with iOS 7.0 and above. Intex fitness band comes with an 0.86 inch OLED screen supporting 96 x 32 pixels resolution. This band makes use of Bluetooth 4.0 for communicating with the smartphone and also support BLE – BT Low energy.
There is 3 Axis accelerometer that will keep track of the steps you have taken, distance travelled and the calories burned. This fitness band can also monitor your sleep. Lenovo Vibe P1 Turbo unveiled for $297

Lenovo announced a new variant of P1 called the Vibe P1 Turbo in the Indonesian markets. This Vibe P1 Turbo is using Snapdragon 615 octa core chipset running Lollipop 5.1 with 3GB RAM. This handset comes with finger print scanner and priced at USD 297 (approx Rs. 20K).Lenovo Vibe P1 Turbo sports a 5.5 inch IPS screen with GG3 protection supporting 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. This handset is powered by qualcomm snapdragon 615 1.5GHz 64 Bit octa core MSM8939 chipset with Adreno 405 GPU.
P1 Turbo comes with dual SIM slot (nano SIM) and is running Vibe UI over Android Lollipop 5.1. There is 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM and you can also use micro SD card of up to 128GB. Handset weight is 189 grams and thickness is 9.9mm.When it comes to camera a 5MP fixed focus camera is on the front and a 13MP primary camera on the rear with dual tone LED flash. Key features are 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.1 and fingerprint scanner on the front.
Lenovo Vibe P1 Turbo gets power from a 5000 mAh battery. This handset is priced at USD 297 (in Indonesia), colour options Gold, Silver and Grey.

Huawei has unveiled the Y6 Pro a new handset that sports a 5 inch screen and powered by MediaTek quad core processor. Huawei Y6 Pro is running Lollipop with 2GB RAM and supports 4G LTE. The handset price has not yet been revealed.Huawei Y6 Pro is 9.7mm thick and its weight with battery is 160 grams. This handset houses the MediaTek MT6735P quad core processor clocked at 1.3Ghz coupled with Mali T720 GPU. Android Lollipop with Emotion UI 3.1 sails with 2GB RAM and 16GB.
This is a dual SIM handset that sports a 5 inch IPS screen with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. A 13MP is packed on the rear camera with LED flash support. Huawei Y6 Pro price has not yet been disclosed.
