Panasonic Eluga Turbo with 3GB of RAM launched at Rs 10,999 Posted: 25 Jan 2016 10:57 AM PST Panasonic launched the Eluga Turbo smartphone in India today. The smartphone is priced at Rs 10,999 and will be exclusively available via flash sales on Snapdeal. The smartphone is available in three colors – Marine Blue, Champagne Gold and Rose Gold. The USP of the smartphone is 3GB RAM support, which is bit rare at this price point. A few smartphones around Rs 10,000 with 3GB of RAM are CoolPad Note 3,Micromax Canvas Pulse 4G and Xolo Black 1X. Panasonic Eluga Turbo specification and feature: The smartphone features a 5-inch 720p display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The back panel of the smartphone has Asahi's Dragontrail glass. Under the hood the smartphone runs on 1.5GHz 64 bit octa-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM. It has 32GB internal storage, which is expandable via microSD card. The smartphone has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and supports 30fps FHD 1080p video recording. It also has a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The smartphones is backed by a 2,350mAh battery. Connectivity options include dual-SIM, 4G/3G + 2G, Wi-Fi hotspot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. On the software front the Eluga Turbo is powered by Android 5.1 (Lollipop).

The Lenovo K5 Note has been launched in China with price starting from 1,099 Yuan, approximately Rs 11,300. So far, there's no word on price and availability of the smartphone for the Indian market. Looking at the specifications and features, the K5 Note looks to be an incremental upgrade over the K4 Note. One of the notable changes is that the K5 Note has a metal body unlike the predecessor. The smartphone is powered by a 1.8GHz MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core 64-bit processor paired with Mali-T860 GPU. It also features a 1.5W speaker at the back with Dolby ATMOS surround sound support, and a fingerprint scanner placed below the rear camera. Lenovo K5 Note specifications and features: It flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) IPS display, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB internal storage along with a microSD card slot. On the photography front, it features a 13-megapixel rear camera, supplemented with a 8-megapixel selfie camera up front. The phablet also features a 3,500mAh battery with fast charging support, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and VoLTE. On the software front, it runs on Android Lollipop wrapped under Vibe UI. In comparison, the Lenovo K4 Note features a 5.5-inch 1080p display, MediaTek MT6753 64-bit octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, and 16GB internal storage, along with microSD card slot. The K4 Note also features a 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel selfie camera, 3,300mAh battery, 1.5W speakers with support for Dolby Atmos, and a fingerprint scanner. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NFC and Bluetooth 4.0 LE. On the software front, it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 with Windows 10 to launch on January 26 Posted: 25 Jan 2016 11:03 AM PST Xiaomi had unveiled its Mi Pad 2 in November last year. The company had then showcased two variants of the Mi Pad 2- one with Android and the other with Windows 10. According to reports, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 with Windows 10 will be available in China starting January 26 for 1,299 yuan (Rs 13,500 approximately).The 16GB variant of the Mi Pad 2 with Windows 10 is priced at 999 Yuan (approximately Rs 10,300), while the 64GB variant is priced at 1,299 Yuan, approximately Rs 13,500. Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 specifications and features: The tablet flaunts a 7.9-inch (2048×1536 pixels) IPS display with 326ppi and is powered by a 2.24GHz Intel Atom x5-Z8500 quad-core chipset paired with Intel HD GPU and 2GB LPDDR3 RAM. On the storage front, it offers 16GB and 64GB options, while in the photography department, it features an 8-megapixel f/2.0 camera supplemented with a 5-megapixel wide angle selfie camera up front.
